Found in Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia in open scrubby forests at elevations of 1200 to 300 meters as a mat-forming, mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a branching repent rhizome with closely spaced, flatly adpressed to the branch, size and fleshiness variable, suborbicular to ovate, rounded apically leaves that blooms on a basal, short to .15" [4mm], successively single to four flowered inflorescence with tubular close floral bracts that conceal most of the pedicel.
