Found in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil in extremely wet montane forests at elevations around 600 to 2400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a short erect ramicaul enveloped by 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single apical, erect, obovatem obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms spring through summer on an erect, 1.2" [3 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence
