Common Name The Talamanca Trail Pleurothallis [refers to the location of the discovered Orchid]

Flower Size .24" [6 mm]

Found in Limon province of Costa RIca in the Talamanca range at elevations around 1700 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, long repent epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .06 to .36" [1.5 to 9 mm] between each erect ramicaul carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptic, obtuse, emarginate, with a central apicule apically, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, peduncle .068 to .16" [1.7 to 4 mm] long, leaf, rachis to 1.6" [4 cm] long, successively single, to 2 flowered inflorescence with a tubular, oblique shorter than the ovary floral bract.

"Most similar to Pleurothallis grayumii but differs in the petals and lip. Also related to Pleurothallis endresii but distinguished by the oblong, rather lanceoalte petals." Karremans and Chinchilla 2020;
