Found in eastern Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic in humid places in montane rainforests and charrascales from 300 to 800 meters as a mini-miniature szied hot to cool growing epiphyte with veryshort, erect to ascending ramicauls enveloped by 3, scarious, tubulr to infundibuliform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, spathulate to oblanceolate, obtuse, minutely tridentate, glabrous, entire to minutely crenulate, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a [rarely 2] terminal, erect, capillary, .2" to .75" [.5 to 1.8 cm] long, 3 to rarely 5 flowered inflorescence arising through an ovate sheath with an annulus with simultaneously opeing flowers.
