Common Name The Michoacan Pollardia [A Mexican State]

Flower Size to about 1" [to about 2.5 cm]

This medium to large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial or lithophyte found in Michoacan, Mexico, Morelos, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Hidalgo, Vera Cruz, and Chiapas states of Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras is found in dry forests at 1500 to 2800 meters in elevation with ovoid to pyriform, clustered pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, apical, elliptic lanceolate to ligulate, acute leaves can flower throughout the year on an apical, 5 1/2' [2 m] long, branched, many flowered inflorescence with fleshy long-lived, non-scented flowers.
