Found in Kenya and Tanzania in dry woodlands at elevations around 1100 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with ovoid to conical pseudobulbs enveloped by sacarious sheaths and carrying 2 to 3, suberecet, linear to oblanceolate, minutely apiculate leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, longer than the leaves, densely pubescent, 2.8 to 5.2" [7 to 13 cm] long, rather densely several flowered inflorescence with ovate to lanceolate, acuminate bracts.
