Found in the Bismark Islands, New Caledonia and Vanuatu in rain forests at elevations of 200 to 1600 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with 3 to 8 ovate, dark silky-velvety green, mid vein and marginal lateral veins pale merald green, undulate marginally, basally clasping leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, terminal, pubescent, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence
