Found in Venezuela and Brazil at elevations around 850 to 1100 meters as a small to medium sized warm growing terrestrial with a more or less erect, branching, terete, smooth, dark puce stem carrying to 10, deeply indented along nerve lines, broadly elliptic, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, few flowered inflorescence.
