Common Name Storie's Renanthera [Englsih Orchid Collector 1800's SE Asia]

Flower Size 2 1/4" [6 cm]

Found only in the Philippines at elevations up to 1000 meters as a medium to giant sized, hot growing, monopodial epiphyte usually occuring in bright light to full sun with a stout stem carrying, many, broad, distichous, oblong, coriaceous, retuse and bilobed apically leaves that blooms on a semi-pendulous, branched, many [100] flowered, woody inflorescence with large, showy, red flowers occuring in the summer.
