Common Name The Archila's Restrepia [Guatemalan Family orchid nursery owners current]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Alta Verapaz department of Guatemala at elevations around 1400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with purple ramicauls enveloped by white bracts, lowermost with dark red, warty dots and carrying green, lanceolate, microscopically tridenticulate, obliquely cordate below leaves that blooms in the winter on a 1" [2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

"Similar to Restrepia muscifera but differs in the larger plants, acuminate leaves, oblanceolate-subspathulate lateral sepals, the petals and sepals longer and different colored flowers." Chiron & Schlachetko
