Common Name Ure-Skinner's Rhynchostele [English ORchid Collector in Guatemala]
Flower Size to 2 1/2" [to 6.5 cm]
Found in Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico on rocks at high elevations as a large sized, cold to cool growing terrestrial or lithophyte with ovoid, compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs subtended by 3 to 4 foliaceous sheaths carrying 1 to 3, flexuous, lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms on a rigidly erect, usually simple, 3' [90 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate bracts and showy, long-lasting, fragrant flowers occuring in the summer and fall.
