Found in Papua and New Guinea in mist forests at elevations of 1000 to 1300 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with 3/4" to 1 1/4" [2 to 3 cm] betweeen each oblong, compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate-elliptic, subacute, glabrous leaf and blooms in the winter and summer on a basal, short, successively few flowered, fasciculate inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying a small, ovate floral bract and a single flower at a time.
