Found in Brazil as a small sized, terrestrial orchid with a basal rosette of ovate, acute, abruptly narrowing below into the clasping base leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, 10" [25 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with a few, spaced, lanceolate, acute bracts and lanceolate, acute, as long as the ovary floral bracts
