Common Name Jimenez's Scaphyglottis [Costa Rican Collector of the type 1900's]

Found in Cartago province of Costa Rica in very wet, pluvial and cloud forests at elevations of 700 to 2400 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with superposed, basal ones many branched, thin stems with subacute, verrucose sheaths and carrying 2, ligulate, retuse leaves that blooms in the spring, summer and fall on a very short, terminal, single flowered inflorescence carrying pale green to cinnamon colored tinted with coffee-purple color.
