Common Name The Sparkling Schoenorchis - In China Chi Chun Lan

Found in Assam India, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanamar, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos, southern China, Vietnam and Java in humid, mossy, mixed and coniferous forests on mossy branches of old gnarled trees and primary highland cloud forests at elevations of 450 to 2500 meters as a small to just medium sized, cool to hot growing, pendulous or drooping, epiphyte with a curved, terete stem carrying many, linear-terete, unequally bi or tri-dentate apically, curved, channeled leaves that blooms on an axillary, suberect to drooping, 5" [12.5 cm] long, paniculate, densely many flowered inflorescence with small, acute floral bracts all carrying fragrant flowers occuring in the spring and summer.
