Common Name The Broad Point Schoenorchis

Flower Size 1/8" [5mm]

A miniature sized, vandaceous, hot growing epiphytic plant occuring in Java and Sumatra at elevations of sealevel on mangroves to 800 meters with a short stem carrying two ranked, slightly curved, narrowly lanceolate, unequally bilobed apically, thick, fleshy leaves and blooms on a lateral, 3/4" [2 cm] long, racemose, several [6] flowered inflorescence with very small, triangular, acute floral bracts and has flowers that need magnification [Photo courtesy of Marc Grahiles] to be seen well, likes some direct sun and grows mounted on cork, wood or tree fern with hot to warm temperatures, moderate bright light, high humidity and waterings that allow the mount to dry out completely before rewatering.
