A medium sized, cool to warm growing, caespitose epiphyte from Peru with clustered, ovoid, ridged pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic-lanceolate, attenuate to the conduplicate petiole, acute leaf that blooms with a pendant, short to 3/4" [2 cm] long, subcapitate, racemose inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, floral bracts that exceed the length of the ovary and carrying 4 to 6 flowers, arising on a mature pseudobulb that is found in wet montane forests at altitudes of 1200 to 1500 meters on tree trunks in wet montane forests and it blooms in the fall.
