Found in Antioquia state, Colombia at elevations of 1000 to 2500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with oblong or egg-shaped, compressed pseudobulbs are partially enveloped basally by disticous, imbricating, longitudinally folded leaf-bearing sheaths and carries a single, erect, strap-shaped, acute leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on an axillary, erect, 1.6" [4 cm] long, several flowered, paniculate inflorescence arisng from the leaf axil of a newly matured pseudobulb with each short branch carrying a few successive flowers.
