Flower Size 2" to 2.4" [5 to 6 cm]

Found in northwestern Madagascar in sandy very dry woods at the base of trees at elevations of 1569 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial, semi epiphyte or epiphyte with a short stem carrying numerous, large, loriform, coriaceous and very unequally bilobed-obtuse apically leaves that blooms in the later spring on a 16" [40 cm] long, erect, rigid, loosely 8 to 15 flowered inflorescence enveloped by several sheaths carrying nocturnally fragrant flowers
