Found in the Comoros and NW Madagascar in humid montane forests at elevations og sealevel to 300 meters on twigs and branches with an elongate stem giving rise to roots all along and blooms in the spring on a 2.8 to 6" [7 to 15 cm] long, 4 to 20 flowered inflorescence small, obtuse floral bracts
