Found in Espiritu Santo Brazil as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with oblong pseudobulbs carrying a single, suberect, elliptic, acute, elongate petiolate base leaf that blooms on a newly arising pseduobulb witha terminal, erect, single flowered inflorescence that is just longer than the leaf
