Found in Cauca, Colombia in wet montane forests at elevations around 2300 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, semi-coriaceous, elliptic-oblong, obtuse to subacute, narrowing below into the canaliculate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a much longer than the leaf, 7" [17.5 cm] long, densely many flowered almost to the base inflorescence with infundibular-cucullate, almost as long as the ovary floral bracts.
