Common Name The Stelis Glossula Like Stelis

Found in Valle de Cauca department of Colombia and Imbabura province of Ecuador at elevaions around 1350 to 2200 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by a close tubular sheath below the middle and 1 to 2 others above the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, acute to subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, strict, 4.8" [12 cm] long including the .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long the peduncle, mostly simultaneously many flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe from a node below the apex of the ramicaul with tubular, obtuse floral bracts and carrying imbricating, two ranked flowers.
