Common Name or Meaning The In Between Stelis

Flower Size 1/16" [0.15 cm]

Found in Venezuela, Minas Gerais Brazil in the Mantiqueira Rain Forest Mountains as well as Peru at elevations of 1000 to 1700 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with densely fqascicled stems enveloped basally by 2 to 3 long, tubular sheaths and carry a single, apical, elliptic-linear or linear-lanceolate, obtuse with a minute tridenticulate apex leaf that is long and attenuate below that blooms in the early winter ensitu on a solitary, to 7 1/4" [to 18 cm] long, many flowered, arcuate or flexuous and very slender inflorescence with very minute flowers.

Said to be synomonous with S drosophila by some but Foldats separates and I concur at this time. If they are synomonous S intermedia takes precedence.

Synonyms Stelis petropolitana Rchb.f. 1866
