Found in northern Venezuela and Colombia in montane forests at elevations around 1300 to 1600 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphtye with approximate, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, spathulate, attenuate towards the base into the small, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a solitary, shorter than the leaf, 1.2 to 2.4" [3 to 6 cm] long, racemopse, distichous, pauciflorus down to the base inflroescence arising through a small, acuminate spathe and has cucllate, shortly apiculate floral bracts.
