Found in the Chinese Himalayas, Eastern Himalayas, Assam, Taiwan, Myanamar, Thailand and Vietnam in montane forests on trees at elevations around 700 to 1700 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with close set to slightly distant, globose, deforming with age pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, apically equally bilobed, basally narrowing into the channeled petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, very short, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
