Common Name The White Sunipia - In China Bai Hua Da Bao Lan

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in southern Xizang and northwestern to southern Yunnan Provinces of China as well as Bhutan and northeastern India in forest on tree trunks at elevations of 1900 to 2900 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] between each ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly oblong, leathery, obtuse and retuse apically, contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on 1 to 2, erect, slender, yellowish green, 2 to 3.6" [5 to 9 cm] long, 7 to 8 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and narrowly lanceolate, membraneous, acuminate floral bracts.
