Found in southwestern Yunnan province of China and southeastern Thailand in forests on tree trunks at elevations of 1900 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte wiith .4" [1 cm] between each ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, thickly leathery, obtuse, retuse apically, contracted below into the petilate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, slightly nodding, 4.4 to 10.4" [11 to 22 cm] long, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with 3 sheaths and ovate, membraneous, acuminate apically floral bracts.
