Found only in New Guinea on trees in hill forests at elevations of 500 to 900 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with no leaves and thin roots in a rosette and blooms in the fall on a sublax, 3 to 5 flowered, 2.4" [6 cm] long, densly hispid inflorescence with deltoid bracts and has fragrant flowers.
