Found in New Guinea in montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 3100 meters as a medium sized, warm to cold growing leafless epiphyte with strongly flattened, flexuous, to 20" [to 50 cm] long roots raditing from a central nexus and blooming at most any tome of the year on an erect, racemose, to 12" [to 30 cm] long, very densely muricate-villose, densely 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with glabrous, facing all directions flowers.
