Found in Peru in wet, cold cloud forests at elevations of 2500 to 3000 meters as a miniature sized cold growing epiphyte with branching stems carrying 3 to 5 imbricating, condulicate sheaths with the uppermost leafbearing, articulated to the singel oblancolate, acute t oobtuse, fleshy, mid vein carinate leaf that blooms at any time of the year on and axillary, elongating, bialate to flattened above, successively 5 to 7 flowered inflorescence with an ovate-triangular bract..
I am not convinced of this determination and await more references. Differs from Icones in having vertical and lateral stripes
