Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador in paramo at elevations of 2500 to 3000 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a suberect to rambling stem carrying fleshy and fairly rigid, rugise but shiney above, duller beneath, sharly mucronate apically leaves that blooms in the later summer on an erect, terminal, slender, light green, to 10" [to 25 cm] long, successively several flowered inflorescence with the lower flowers opening first .
