Found in Penninsular Malaysia and Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 300 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with erect stems covered in red brown hairs carrying basally clasping, green with white speckles, red brown hairy, narrowly lanceolate, acute leaves that are two ranked and at right angles to the stem that blooms in the winter on a very short, usually single flowered inflorescence
