Found in Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Java at elevations of 50 to 600 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an elongate slender stem carrying imbricating, basally clasping, acute, ovate leaves and blooms on a short, axillary, single flowered inflorescence holding the flower close to the stem with flowers occurring with 1 to 2 inflorescence at each and every leaf junction.
