Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Borneo in lowland forests at elevations of sea-level to 200 meters [in Malaysia stated as moderate elevations in the mountains] as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with stiff, apically narrowing, hairy on margins leaves and hairy on the front of the sheaths that blooms in the summer on a short, successsively 1, to 3 flowered, racemose inflorescence
