Found in Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Siera Leone, Burundi, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Rwanda, Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Cape and Natal states of South Africa as a miniature to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte on branches of larger trees at elevations around 1600 meters with erect to pendant, branched stems carrying suberect, to falcate, terete, or cylindric, grooved on top leaves that blooms in the spring on several short, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long, 4 to 5 flowered inflorescence
