Found in Cochabamba Bolivia in submontane wet forests at elevations around 1800 to 2500 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, round to ovate pseduobulbs carrying 2 to 3, apical, plicate leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, lateral then pendant, several to many flowered inflorescence enveloped by tubular, imbricate bracts carrying fleshy, fragrant flowers
