Found in Assam Indai, Myanamar and Thailand in deciduous forests at low to moderate elevations as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing, monopodial epiphyte with an erect, leafy stem carrying lorate, coriaceous, alternate leaves that blooms on an axillary, erect, racemose, stout, to 18" [45 cm] long several flowered [10-20] inflorescence with fragrant flowers occuring in the spring and occaisionally at other times of the year.
