Common Name The Blue Vanda - In Thailand - Fa mui - In China Da Hua Wan Dai Lan

Flower Size to 4" [10 cm]

Found in India, Myanmar and Thailand on exposed dwarf oak trees or in deciduous forests in areas with a distinct dry season in the winter with daylong sun at elevations of 800 to 1700 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing, monopodial with very stout stems carrying coriaceous, ligulate, distichous, conduplicate, obliquely tridentate apically leaves and blooms in the fall on an axillary, erect or suberect, 2' [60 cm] long, laxly few to several flowered inflorescence with long-lasting flowers.
