Common Name or Meaning The Caudate Veyretia
Flower Size .8" [2 cm] long
Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in sand deposits on quartzite summits of tabular mountains at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with unknown leaves not present at flowering, that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, terminal, 2.4 to 3.2" [6 to 8 cm] long, provided with 2, linear-lanceolate, adpressed, apically free sheathing bracts, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with floral bracts only at the base of the externally sparsely hairy, green flowers.
