Common Name The Papillose Xylobium [refers to the papillose apex of the lip]

Found in Alta Verapaz province of Guatemala in oak cloud forests at elevatyions around 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with conical pseudobulbs carrying apcailly 1 to 2, flexuous, oblanceolate, acute, 5 nerved abaxially, strongly, 2" [5 cm] long petiolate base leaves that blooms on a elongate, provided with bracts, 6 to 7.2" [15 to 18 cm] long, 8 to 15 flowered inflorescence with linear floral bracts
