Common Name or Meaning The Scented Zeuxine - In China Xiang Xian Zhu Lan

Found in Ryukyu Islands and southern Taiwan in shady humid forests at elevations of 300 meters as a medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with an ascending, stout stem carrying 4 to 6, cauline, widely spaced or sometimes clustered, nat withering at blooming, obliquely elliptic to ovate-elliptic, acute, rounded below into the petillate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a 8 to 14" [20 ot 35 cm] long, subdensely 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, pubescent on abaxial side, acuminate floral bracts and carrying fragrant, resupinate, half opening flowers
