Common Name Mackay's Zygopetalum [English Orchid Collector 1800's]
Flower Size 3 1/4" [8 cm]
A medium to large sized, cool to warm growing, Brazilian, terrestrial species with globose to conical pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3 apical, plicate, elliptic-lanceolate, leaves that blooms on a lateral, racemose, 3' [90 cm] long, several [5 to 10] flowered inflorescence with fragrant, waxy, long-lived flowers occuring in the fall and winter.
