Common Name The Kranzlin's Angraecum [German Botanist 1800's]

Flower Size 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm]

Found in northern and central Madagascar in mossy and lichen covered foprests on trees and shrubs at elevations of 1500 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 11 to 25, two-ranked, fleshy, folded along the midrib so that the upper surfaces almost cohere, narrow and somewhat arching, 1 to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm] long, rounded apically leaves that blooms in the early summer on a shorter than the leaves, peduncle very short, entirely enveloped by 3, short, thin, scarious sheaths, single flowered inflorescence
