Found in Yunnan province of China in broad-leaved evergreen forests on rocks at elevations of 1600 to 1650 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing litho-terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 3 to 4, ovate, dark green reddish pink silky reticulate, purplish red beneath leaves that blooms in the summeron a termnal, erect, to 2.8" [7 cm] long, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate floral bracts. .
