Found in Guangdong Province of China in broad leaved forests at elevations around 200 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing terrestrial with several small, pear shaped to ovoid tuberules in a network of roots giving rise to an erect, rather slender stem carrying at the mid point and above, 7 to 10, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, filiform awn apically, shortly petiolate, dilated and amplexicaul basally leaves that blooms in the later spring on a terminal, paniculate, recurved, .4 to .88" [1 to 2.2 cm] long, 4 to 9 flowered inflorescence
