Found in Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 900 to 1400 meters as a warm to cool growing pendulous epiphyte with a stout, more or less arcuate, pendulous stem carrying sdistichous, narrowly lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, minutely uneqally bilobed, mucronate apex, coriaceous, many nered, prominent midlobe beneath, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall on many lateral, 1 to 1.36" [2.5 to 3.4 cm] long, peduncle rpovided with several, closely imbricating, scarious sheaths, rachis sinuous, fractiflex, few flowered inflorescence with consicuous, distichous, cymbiform, lanceolate-attenuate, much longer than the flowered floral bracts.

The flowers are similar to A longirostrata but slightly larger but the vegetative parts are different.
