Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil as a terrestrial that blooms in the fall
"In this species the lower part of the column is short whilst the rostellum is narrow and elongated. The apex of the rostellum breaks off as is typical of most species of what was the genus Aspidogyne. Another feature of the column is the oblique (rather than horizontal) position of the stigma lobes, an uncommon character that does occur in some species of what was the genus Aspidogyne (e.g., Microchilus bidentiferus and Microchilus grandis, M mosaicus and M vesiculosus in what was the genus Aspidogyne."
