Common Name The Spotted Leaf Microchilus

Flower Size .12" [3 mm]

Found in Mexico, Alta Verapaz department off Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica and Chiriqui province of Panama in dense forests at elevations around 1000 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect to ascending, slender, densely silky pubescent stem carrying on the lower half of the stem, obliquely ovate to lanceolate, acute to shortly acuminate, dark green with white spots, gradually narowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, 1.6 to 2.8" [4 to 7 cm] long, loosely 7 to 15 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, incurved, glabrous, scarious, as long as the ovary floral bracts .
