"Characterized by the trilobed lip fixed to the column-foot, a narrowly winged column and eight pollina. The only Pleurothallid genera with 8 pollina are Octomeria and Pleurtothallopsis but these 2 genera are not vegetatively similar to Specklinia with abbreviaed ramicauls." Luer 2006
